This past weekend, my family and I decided to go camping.
The weather was truly supposed to be sunny and clear with not too many clouds in the sky.
I was thinking it would be the ideal weekend for camping. My fiance and I were both off work early on Sunday, so we thought it would be great to go and start packing the truck before the kids got back from school. We decided to take the tent, sleeping bags, a lantern, and a full cooler with plenty of food and drinks. It wasn’t supposed to be especially nippy that night, but my fiance and I took a small area gas furnace in case we needed it. Both of us were staying in a campground with electricity and water on our campsite. If it was kind of nippy, the people I was with and I would be able to plug in the heater equipment. My fiance and the kids and I went for a hike as quickly as we arrived at the campground. It started raining while the people I was with and I were hiking, but when the people I was with and I came back to the campsite, all of us were ready to go to take a shower. There was a gas furnace in the bathhouse which helped make the entire place a great deal warmer. There was also a gas furnace in the ladies’s bathhouse as well, but there was a window that wasn’t closed near the roof. A pretty good amount of the overheated air from the gas heating equipment was escaping due to the open window. I had a truly hot and relaxing shower, but my fiance and the kids certainly could not say the same thing. Happily, the tent was perfectly hot and cozy for bedtime thanks to the little portable area heater equipment.
