I felt monstrous for bailing on my boss at the last second, however I was truly under the weather
I definitely knew I was getting sick with something when I woke up on Monday day & I did not feel very well in the least, but most people dread Monday in the morning. I actually love my job though, so it’s not a problem with me. When I get up for work, I most often feel gleeful & ready for the week ahead of me. Monday in the morning, I actually wanted to crawl back into my bed & turn off the alarm almost right away. I took a shower & got ready. While I was picking out my clothes, I decided to check my temperature. I always have a thermometer in the bath because my 2 year old always visits every weekend & every Monday in the afternoon. I don’t want to be one of those fathers that take their child to the hospital if they feel warm. I took my temperature & I had a fever of 102.8. I called my boss to tell him that I wasn’t going to make it. He basically expected me to complete a ductless AC machine upgrade job. I couldn’t even concentrate on preparing breakfast, so I knew it was going to be next to impossible to concentrate on a ductless AC machine upgrade job. I felt monstrous for bailing on my boss at the last second, however I was truly under the weather. I would not have been much help at task to be honest & I entirely don’t think I would have had the energy or capability to even finish the ductless AC machine upgrade job on my own. I spent a bit of time on the couch, before I was able to feel better! Thankfully, most of my symptoms were done when I woke up on Thursday.
