My husband’s coworkers all planned a camping trip for the off season. Of course, my husband wanted to go. I seriously didn’t want to go. I don’t like the outdoors. I like to be comfortable. However, I couldn’t justify telling my husband he couldn’t go either. On the other hand, I didn’t really want him going without me. All the other spouses were going. Besides, I like to keep an eye on him. So I was preparing myself for a week of no air conditioning and a lot of bugs. Then my husband told me that we were all renting cabins together. Apparently the cabins are set up for up to 6 couples each. A few of the coworkers would camp out in tents but most of us would be in climate controlled cabins. This is the best news I had heard in awhile. I started to look forward to the camping trip. When we arrived at our cabin it was just as advertised. It had air conditioning and the air conditioner was working great. It was cool and comfortable in the cabin when we walked in the door. I ended up spending most of the camping trip camped out in that air conditioned cabin but I still had a good time. I think my husband did too. We should do this again. It was nice getting to know my husband’s coworkers and spend a little time outdoors. It was even nicer to be able to cool off again inside of the air conditioned cabin whenever I wanted to. That is my idea of camping.
