Happy with my purchase of a stationary bike

When I decided to create a home gym, I began looking into the types of equipment on the current market.

  • I was shocked by how overpriced the choices are.

The treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machines and more complex machines now feature all sorts of smart technology. I realized that I could only afford a single piece of fitness equipment and wanted to be smart about the investment. I was determined to get the most benefit from the purchase. I was in the market for something that would help burn a great deal of calories in the shortest amount of time. I also hoped to minimize impact on my joints. I checked out all the benefits and negatives of each type and finally decided on a stationary bike. I liked that the bike wouldn’t take up too much space in the house. Riding the bike is such an advantageous workout that I almost feel like I’m cheating. I can easily read on my ipad while I pedal. The touchscreen let me select from a variety of programs, change the intensity levels and keep track of my workouts. I can choose a manual workout or allow the bike to increase and decrease the exertion levels according to a specific program. I typically burn anywhere from 400 to 500 calories in sixty minutes. The bike is super quiet so I can hear my music without cranking the volume. There’s an input that provides for my smartphone and I play the music through an included speaker. The seat is very comfortable, and there’s a fan that blows a decent amount of cool air. It’s really handy to have access to an indoor workout during inclement weather. If I have twenty minutes or an hour to spend on physical activity, I can always pedal the bike.
