If you wait until the storm is two days out from landfall, the local stores will likely be empty of water, canned goods, batteries, flashlights, candles, plus other essentials. That’s why it’s better to have food plus water stock piled anywhere in your house, however several people can’t afford to have this several supplies on hand at any given moment if they’re literally living paycheck to paycheck. But I noticed something uncommon when I was looking at the weather forecast yesterday. There was an article about the dust clouds that come across the atlantic ocean from the northern sahara desert on the African continent, amazingly, there were satellite images from space where you can clearly see the dust floating in the atmosphere. This dust travels over the Atlantic ocean plus gets to the US eventually. I’m not surprised that my air conditioner filters get dirtier faster when we have a dust cloud coming from Africa. I have to keep my lake house clean, dusted, vacuumed, plus mopped. If I don’t stay on top of the cleaning, the dust will overwhelm me, my air conditioner, plus my UV air purifier. The filters will clog immediately, causing myself and others to spend inordinate amounts of money just to keep my lake house cool. It’s easier to stay on top of the cleaning to keep the dust out of the central HVAC idea rather than replacing the filter every two plus a half weeks. At least we have the technology these days to predict plus anticipate these factors plus situations.
