Two weeks ago I ended up making a call to one of the more well renowned HVAC companies in my town and set up an appointment for them to come service my heating system.
You see, we live up north where it can get extremely cold in the winter, and I needed to make sure that the heating system was going to be able to keep my family warm. When the appointment finally came around the service tech that was sent out was extremely kind, prompt, and professional. By the time he was done we were all feeling super confident and happy with the work that was done to our heating system. Only a week or so after we had the service done in our home however we started experiencing some problems with the heating unit. For whatever reason the heating system was blowing out extremely hot and slightly polluted air that was making the home uncomfortable to be in. When we called the HVAC company who had worked with us earlier in the month they told us that it would be an additional $850 for them to come and fix their mistake due to it being in the middle of the busy season for them. Can you believe that? When we rejected this offer and called their business number to speak to the higher ups at this company, they simply ignored us and refused to send anyone out to fix the mistake they made. Be careful what companies you trust to protect your family from the weather, because there are companies out there that are more interested in making money than doing actual work!
