Trying to gain my cat’s trust

Well, I shouldn’t say my cat because I don’t own her.

She is just a friend whom I invited to stay in my home with myself and others for a while if she chooses.

I named her Thay, which means professor in Vietnamese. I think she will teach me all kinds of things. So today I will try to touch her a bit and speak to her gently and just get her to trust me. She is only 7 months old. I’m sure she was scared of this new weird place. I just need to supply her lots of love and patience. I’m also going to get some residential window film to help give her and I a little privacy. We have a lot of birds that visit the balcony so I still want her to be able to see them for fun, cats like enjoying birds for some reason. They make multiple types of decorative window film and maybe something with cats on it would be a fun one to get. I’ll have to look and see if they have anything like that online. I’ve installed my own window films several times and am pretty fine at applying it to the window without any bubbles. It just takes some time and patience and maybe an extra set of hands and it can look just as fine as the pros would do it for a fraction of the cost. If you aren’t good at installing it then just do yourself a favor and get a fine home window tinting service to do it for you.
