I got into an argument with our friend the other day.
I was talking about installing a ductless mini split in our home.
She said I actually should be thinking about a ductless multi split to cover our whole home. I thought about it plus then said that the two were the same thing. She said they actually are not the same, the multi split can cover a whole home for heating plus cooling. I argued that they were still the same but had a slightly unusual name. Well, she ended up looking it up plus sure enough, she was right. While they technically are the same type of Heating & A/C plan plus have the same technology for heating plus cooling, the multi split plan has more indoor units, up to 8 running off a single condenser unit, and regardless of the fact that I was wrong plus I actually did need a multi split system, it was interesting to learn that the ductless mini splits are usually used to supplement a central Heating & A/C plan in areas that are not getting enough heating or cooling in the home. A lot of people care about to use a ductless mini split for their garage space or even for an indoor porch. I know that nobody is perfect plus I’m sure others will argue just care about I did that these systems are the same. It doesn’t actually matter though. What matters is achieving comfort in your home with lower energy costs. That’s exactly what I was trying to do, but I didn’t want to supplement our aged central Heating & A/C, I just wanted to go ductless altogether!
