I really wasn’t quite sure what to expect.
In fact, I was sort of hoping that my wife would forget what I said earlier about the wifi thermostat. When this piece of HVAC technology first came out, she so wanted it. But that’s sort of par for the course really. That girl is so into whatever the latest technology trend is. And I have plenty of stuff I’ve had to toss or give away because the technology became obsolete in like a year. So I asked her to pump the brakes on this HVAC technology until it had seen a few iterations. To her credit, she did just that. But my hope that she had forgotten about the smart thermostat were dashed. She wanted one and I had no argument against it. The thing is that I really have made taking control of the heating and cooling in my house a priority. And I put some energy and effort into doing just that. It took me quite a while to figure out just how to program the digital thermostat in order to keep the heating and cooling bills down. I’m quite proud of that effort and I wasn’t necessarily all that interested in giving up on all that. But my wife convinced me to call the HVAC company to have them install a smart thermostat. What I didn’t expect at all was to fall in love with it. This is exactly what has happened. I don’t have to do a thing and this HVAC technology saves me more than 15 percent over the best that I could achieve.
