Have you heard of the expression getting your Ducks all in a row? well it is a proper expression however I savor to change it just a little bit. I savor to take this time of year, Autumn, as the time of year when I get our heating & cooling ducts all in a row. no, I do not have someone crawl under the home & stretch out all our AC ductwork into a straight line. No, I simply mean that it is time to make sure that the ductwork that is so important for spreading the cool air & the heated air is in good toiling condition. One time, several years ago, I noticed that our a/c seemed to be running nonstop. No matter what time Of the afternoon or night I checked on it, it was running. That was not good, obviously. I didn’t assume what was wrong, however one thing I did assume was that despite the fact that the a/c was running all afternoon long & all night long, it still wasn’t cool in our house. I had the temperature control set to a mediocre 75 degrees, & it never particularly got below 75 degrees in our house. It was clearly time to call in the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professionals oh, & that is when I l earned that our ductwork was a hot mess. You see, several people have ductwork that goes underneath their house, which was the case for me. That area under the home is referred to as the crawl space, & it is where workers can go if they need to breach some section of your home they cannot reach from inside. Anyway, it seems that lots of creatures had gotten their little claws into our duct work under our house. All our a/c was blowing straight out under the home & keeping all those little critters cool & comfy while I sweat it & pay the electric bill.
