My husband hadn’t been glad with his task for quite some time.
His enjoyment of laboring was slowly dwindling, and it was now nonexistent.
He told myself and others he had to get out of the factory because it was sucking the life out of him. The more we talked, the more I assured him we would be great if he wanted to quit, however that wasn’t who he was. I pulled out my savings book and showed how much I had put away over the years. His eyes bugged out, and he gave myself and others a hug. He said he had been considering going back to university and becoming an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker. He remembered his dad was an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker before he had his accident that left him paralyzed. They often talked about how much his dad enjoyed being an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker, and he thought he may appreciate it. Two afternoons later, he had quit his task and signed up for Heating, Ventilation, and A/C classes at the community university. It took him six weeks to finish his training and then he to get his certification. Not long after, he had a position at the local Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company. For the first time in years, I saw his pride in the task he was doing, and he came lake house laughing. He talked about his task at the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company and told myself and others all about his day. I couldn’t remember him ever being so glad when he got home, or wanting to share what happened while in the day. I enjoyed the change that being an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C worker made in my husband.
