Whenever our sons got together, they consistently got into an fight over something, although they were identical twins, they had their own personalities, and had consistently clashed over the least little things. This year, they were arguing over a football game, then i was getting the turkey in the oven when I noticed it was getting cooler in the house. I talked to my hubby when every one of us were out of hearing range of the boys. I told him I thought the heating system had quit working, and he went downstairs… He came back up and told me to call the HVAC supplier and tell them it was an emergency. The people I was with and I didn’t care if it was going to cost us more to have the heating system repaired. The people I was with and I didn’t want an fight about the reason the heating system was broken. An hour later, the HVAC worker was knocking on the kitchen door. I had already seen him pull up, and I was opening the door as he was knocking; My hubby showed him to the heating system room and asked that he not make his presence known. The HVAC worker said nothing and followed my hubby to the heating system. Half an hour later, he had the heating system running again. He said the breaker switch had flipped, and it had triggered the emergency switch, then once the switch was flipped, the heating system came right back on. The boys had covered up with blankets and were sleeping on the reclining sofa. The boys woke up just as I was setting the table, and the fights didn’t ensue until the fifth football game started, because they rooted for different teams. Thanksgiving would have been worse if the HVAC worker hadn’t arrived so hastily.
