Making training of air conditioning system workers more wonderful and efficient

I find that videos are an excellent training and learning tool.

  • When students watch a video on a recognizable process, they can absolutely remember the steps, which is easier to understand.

For this reason, I decided to create videos for my training class. I work for a cooling supplier as a cooling specialist, then my job description includes leading the training program to develop highly trained air conditioning system professionals to help with indoor comfort. To achieve this, I had to acsupplier the air conditioning system workers to offsite jobs and video them at work. I did not want to pull videos from the internet, however I wanted to take raw videos of our suppliers delivering a/c service. The first and most important process I filmed was the Heating and Air Conditioning installation process. My videographer and I accompanied the suppliers to an office where they replaced a malfunctioned electric heat pump and replaced it with a current air conditioner. We had a strategy to film only the important steps. The fitting process took about three hours, and we had footage for nearly two hours. We will edit it later. The second most important process is the a/c tune-up we filmed the following morning. We had gone to a school whose ductless mini-split had stopped toiling. The suppliers did the repairs and revived the function of the quality Heating and Air Conditioning system. We also made sure to film the suppliers installing the digital thermostat. The filming took a month, as we had to capture all the processes involved with the cooling equipment. The indoor comfort supplier now has video training files that make training much more enjoyable, and trainees can absolutely recall the steps involved.
