My neighbors had a dinner party last week and apparently, they are really looking forward to the fall. They had already turned the heating system on and their house was really hot on the inside. I wasn’t really sure why they had the furnace turned up so high already, since the temperatures outside aren’t really even cooling off all that much yet. It’s still the end of the summer, in my opinion. Even though the calendar says that it’s officially fall, the weather hasn’t quite caught up to that yet. I love the fall as much as anyone else does, and I love using the wood burning fireplace in my living room whenever the weather starts cooling off. However, I don’t like to rush things the way my neighbors seem to want to! I was grateful to them for hosting this nice dinner party and the food that they had was really great. It was just hard to enjoy anything because the house was so uncomfortably warm already. The furnace was running non-stop and they had me seated right underneath a heating vent in the dining room. Even when I went outside to get some fresh air, I found that they had fires burning in their outdoor fireplace, along with those large propane heating units that you can buy to keep on your patio. It’s like nowhere was safe from the heat! I guess when the weather really does start cooling down, I know where I should go if I need to get warm. They definitely aren’t going to get too cold over there at my neighbors’ house.
