My group of friends and I traveled out of town once a month. We had kept this tradition for years and were not about to break because of any inconveniences. This time around, everyone was eager to travel since the lockdown had halted everything, and we were fatigued from staying indoors. When the idea of settling for a furnished house for rent came up, everyone agreed. We needed a temporary housing arrangement that gave us the freedom to go and come as we pleased. With the affordable housing sorted, we continued to plan our itinerary. Everyone wanted something relaxing to enjoy great music, hang out in the pool, and make some delicious meals or order take outs whenever we felt like it. This would be a different kind of vibe that would usher us into the new season of meaningful enjoyment. No one seemed to crave the partying mood of yesteryears. Fortunately for us, the owners of the short-term rental housing were willing to suggest a few places we could go for cozy meals on a budget. They also gave us free tips on how to explore the town without coming across as tourists. In the end, the adventure-packed getaway was well worth it.
