I have observed recently that our air conditioning component is acting funny.
By acting funny, I mean the air conditioning keeps turning itself on, & then off again.
I have tried restarting it, however that didn’t do anything, and when I physically look at the air conditioning component itself, everything appears to be normal, so I’m not sure what is causing this, however granted, I suppose next to nothing about Heating & A/C devices, so I could easily be missing something obvious. I wanted to wait & see if our cooling component would continue to turn itself on & off, & so I waited a few afternoons, & much to our unhappiness it did. Whenever I would have the air conditioning component turned on, it wouldn’t stay on for long before it started short cycling again. I had to face the fact that this was a concern that was not going to go away on its own, & so I called a HVAC dealer, & explained the problem. They told myself and others that it was most likely minor, however they would send out a Heating & A/C repairman anyways. When the Heating & A/C worker arrived, she looked at the Heating & A/C component briefly, & discovered the concern in less than 5 minutes. The problem? The air filter. She asked how often I changed our air conditioning filter, & apparently I wasn’t changing it often enough. I absolutely changed our air filter every 6 months or so, but I should be doing so every couple of months at least. Once the outdated & dirty filter was unfastend, our cooling plan was toiling appreciate new.
