Geo heat pump fits the bill

I’ve always been interested in conservation. And I’m not just talking conservation in the typical parlance. The idea of doing more with less has always sort of been a driver in my life. I can remember even convincing my parents to do with less HVAC cooling as I was growing up. Where I grew up, there was a four month period during the summer when the heat pump seemed to run almost non-stop. And even as a kid, I thought that was a waste. My parents were gone to work most of the day and I was involved in one activity or another all summer. So the house was empty and yet was being HVAC maintained to a level that didn’t make any sense. Eventually, I got everyone onboard to push the thermostat up before we all left the house. So it’s sort of ironic that I’m once again all about saving on HVAC cooling. After years of living up north once I got married, I’m happy to be calling the south home once again. And it’s pretty cool that I’m only a bit more than hour from my home town. That makes it very easy to slip back into dealing with the temperature changes. My wife and I also chose the geothermal heat pump as our heating and cooling method. The geo heat pump is perhaps the most efficient residential HVAC. I guess going solar would be the ultimate step. But the geothermal heat pump is great because it reduces the drain on our resources while still providing quality heating and air for our new house.
