My child finally realized that she needed the help that was being offered
When my child first mentioned that she was having a hard time controlling himself, I was upset. I wasn’t sure if she meant she was controlling her mood, or if she had a problem with alcohol. I knew she was having a hard time when she returned from overseas, although I didn’t realize how awful it was until I spoke to her spouse. She said at first it was pain pills that she had legally procured because of her injuries. She suddenly moved to pain pills & booze. She was scared that the next step was going to be hard-core drugs. When I found out she was using pain pills & alcohol to get through a day, I knew I had to have someone intervene. A friend of mine ran a wellness & recovery program right outside of our city. She had my daughter-in-law provide her a call & set up an appointment for her & my child to show up. Within half an minute, my child was crying & pleading with them not to put him away. My acquaintance tried to explain to him that the wellness & recovery program did not put anyone away. They were located in a charming secluded area, & it was peaceful, calm, And a unquestionably relaxing atmosphere. My child finally realized that she needed the help that was being offered. Two weeks after this, she checked himself into the wellness & recovery program. My daughter-in-law recently brought him to a beach house to stay. All of us both noticed that she is more like the woman she was when they first married, & all of us had seen them in a couple years.
