I generally do not mind the woodland critters that tend to congregate in our yard and the woods surrounding our house, but my fiance and I appreciate enjoying their antics, whether it’s the birds of all colors and sizes that come after our feeder or the squirrels that also try to steal from the feeder, however but speaking of squirrels, I had a bit of a conundrum recently as I was doing some yard work last Wednesday, however it is the middle of Springtime and things are starting to moderate up, then all of us had not turned on the air conditioner since late August, however it was starting to get moderate enough for us to consider switching it on that very afternoon.
Anyway, I’m blissful I was in the yard cutting up some leaves and trimming the hedges a bit, because I observed some critter-like squeaking coming from the outdoor component of our air conditioner.
I walked over to the condenser component to take a look inside, and rapidly, I saw a bundle of sticks and moss deep inside the component which is where the squeaking was coming from. I had to focus for a moment however I was able to discern little lumps of fur in what turned out to be a squirrel’s nest. I was so relieved that I hadn’t turned on the condenser component as the fan blades more than likely would have killed the squirrel babies. I definitely was not going to attempt to transfer the nest on our own, so I called the local critter control to help me out with safely removing the babies from the condenser unit.
