Heater maintenance tips you need to consider for your system

My husband works in the heating and cooling industry and through him, I have been able to learn more about heating than I have in my life.

This is even though I have been interacting with quality HVAC equipment all my life.

Since he travels a lot, I always find myself having to deal with any boiler repairs or schedule heater maintenance for our unit in order to maintain indoor comfort. I remember there was one time that he had left and it was dead in the middle of winter. My gas furnace decides in the middle of the night that it will not function. Calls to him went unanswered and I figured he was asleep. I had to figure out this issue all on my own from the things I had learned from him over the years. The wifi thermostat was working fine but the boiler was not providing quality heating. After trying to figure things out, I decided to contact a heating technician the following morning. The expert determined that the issue was a clogged filter. He was from the heating business downtown and they had a reputation for offering quality service. He suggested some tips that I could use to troubleshoot any issue with an old or new HVAC. First off, was to ensure that I schedule the tune-up at least twice a year. He also recommended a reliable heating dealer where I could replenish my supply of filters and batteries for my regulator. If I ever wanted to replace my unit, the supplier would deliver a geo heat pump which is the unit I was saving to get next. When my husband returned, I requested he give me one of the homeowner solutions brochures that had all the tips.
