Over the last few weeks, the weather has been so strange.
- At first, it was so warm outside that I had to turn on my air conditioner.
Then less than a week later, the temperature would drop by more than 20 degrees then my pal and I would need to use my central heating. So, from week to week, I have been typically switching between air conditioner and central heating. I have no idea if this adds any additional wear and tear to my Heating and A/C unit, but in my head, it does. So, I have decided to not use the central heating for the rest of the season, and when it gets cold, I will instead use a portable heater. Especially if the temperature only stays freezing for a couple of days! Plus. It costs more to heat a household than it does to keep it cool, so this is the best decision from a financial aspect. I’d rather use the portable heating system because it uses way less energy than the central heating. And I can transport the portable heating system from room to room if I choose to. Of course, the portable heating system will never update my central heating, but for now it is a temporary alternative to using my central heating. If for some reason, the temperature outside goes back to being freezing for 3 or more days, then my pal and I will use my central heating to keep my entire household comfortable. I can’t predict the weather, but at least I can make the decisions that are best for my comfort. I just hope that the weather will soon return to some kind of normalcy instead of typically switching from week to week.
