Back when I was twenty years old my wife and I ended up having our first child together, back in those days we hardly had enough money to cover groceries let alone take care of a young child! In order to make some more money I began working area time while I was going to school.
- The only place that ended up giving me an option with no experience other than a low paying job at a fast food diner was this small heating and air conditioning company near us.
I began working as a junior heating and air conditioning repair tech and was lucky enough to pick things up relatively suddenly. The owner was also a generous lady who was sympathetic to our situation and was willing to work with me as long as I was willing to keep a learning mindset and not get too frustrated, and don’t be confused. But I had several lows in our early career in HVAC to go with the highs. Regardless however, this job was enough to help us pay for our child and live a bit more comfortably while I was in our younger years, then flash forward fifteen years later to the present day and I am still working at the same heating and air conditioning company. I am now a senior heating and air conditioning tech and I now spend most of my time teaching young heating and air conditioning techs that are in similar situations to mine all those years ago. Working in heating and air conditioning has been good to me and I have met so several amazing guys and women
