Before this past Springtime, I don’t suppose that they have ever cleaned the HVAC ducts in our office before.
The place where I work is not exactly the cleanest place in the world, and they really don’t ever suppose really much about the building’s indoor air conditions and the effect that it has on the employees who have to work in the building. Honestly, I don’t particularly suppose that the building management or the owners particularly care all that much about the safety or the comfort of the people who inhabit their building on a biweekly basis. The heating and cooling method in the building always leaves a lot to be desired, especially when there are serious rapidly decreasing temperatures outside. This goes both for the summer time and the winter. The people I was with and I are always having concerns with the a/c while I was in the summer. Sometimes the A/C works a little too well and both of us are all frigid while resting at our desks trying to get our work done for the day. It’s so discouraging because when you aren’t comfortable with the temperature that you’re working in, you can’t concentrate really well. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, I was surprised to see a heating and a/c truck parked in the front parking lot by the lobby of the building. When I went inside to head to our desk, I saw a couple of HVAC professionals working on taking the air vents covers off of the air vents in the ceiling. Apparently, the office management had finally decided to clean the HVAC ducts in the building.
