I can honestly say that I have never felt worse than I did on Tuesday afternoon.
My brother and I met for lunch at a new bistro.
I had a Cuban sandwich with turkey, roast beef, and pulled pork. I had a dill pickle and a plate of french fries as well. My brother had a club sandwich with ham, turkey, and bacon. I only had an hour for lunch, but the service was fast and friendly. As soon as I finished the last couple of bites of my sandwich, I started to feel uneasy in my stomach. I thought it was gas from the three soda pops that I drank with lunch. After lunch I went back to work. I spent the afternoon working on a mini split HVAC installation job. Thank goodness I was only a couple of miles away from the workshop, because my stomach started to churn about an hour after lunch. I couldn’t stop the feeling in my stomach and I thought I was going to lose my lunch. I left the job site to go to the workshop, but I had to stop at the gas station and use the bathroom. I was in the bathroom for 30 minutes. I returned to the job site to finish the mini-split HVAC installation job. My stomach was in knots and I had pain all day long. I had to leave the mini-split HVAC installation job two additional times to use the bathroom at the gas station. The next time that my brother and I decide to have lunch together on a work day, I am going to pick something very light on the stomach.
