I love my new furnace, but honestly, that is mainly in comparison to my old furnace.
Sometimes, you have to really experience a terrible furnace to truly appreciate a nice furnace.
My old furnace was very old, and it acted like it. I didn’t realize that I could ever hate a furnace, but I absolutely learned after living with this furnace for a few years. First of all, the house never felt warm even with the furnace running. There were certain rooms in the house that felt comfortable, but I don’t think that the furnace was large enough to keep the entire house feeling comfortable. Furthermore, the furnace was very inefficient, and using the furnace cost me a fortune. I couldn’t believe how expensive my electricity bill was during the winter when I was using my furnace, but I quickly found out that my furnace was causing the problem. The furnace was also so old that it would randomly break down once a month, and I would have to pay an HVAC technician to repair the furnace and try to fix it. He kept telling me that I needed to replace my furnace, but the constant repairs were making that very hard. Finally, when the furnace started screeching at me, I knew that I had to replace it. I woke up in the middle of the night to the worst sound ever, and I eventually found out that it was my furnace. I called the HVAC technician the next morning, and he replaced my furnace. That was the best decision that I have ever made.
