For years, I took it for granted while living in a safe area of town. I felt so safe that I did not worry about burglaries or crime because the neighborhood was in a low crime area. Recently, I moved to the other side of town in a section that is easily accessible by passersby. I don’t mind living on this side of town with the closer to the universities and colleges. However, periodically, some of the college students will randomly walk into my backyard at night asking for drug connections. My friend Chris and I get annoyed with them sometimes, especially when we try to enjoy a drink on the back porch while watching the sun go down. My parents are scared that I live on this side of town, however it’s the best that I can do right now because of my finances. One thing that gave me peace of mind was when I had a smart security system installed in my home. With these security systems installed it means that I don’t have to think about burglars and criminals while I’m sleeping at night. I feel peace when I leave for work every morning, because I no longer have lingering thoughts of my possessions being stolen. Because the security system is “smart,” it means I can program it and monitor my HVAC system, my lighting system, and security system using my cell phone from wherever I am as long as I have a signal. I love being able to check on my dog Tucker at the house while I’m away. Installing this smart security system makes my life a lot easier and it has brought me so much peace of mind.
