I didn’t have time to save up for a gas furnace, so I had to buy a used one, but I don’t know if it was a good idea or not, but I really didn’t have a choice.
It is the middle of winter where I live, and it is one of the coldest months of the year, so I knew that I had to get a new furnace fast once my old one stopped working. I hired an Heating and A/C serviceman to take a look at my old furnace, but it didn’t take long for him to tell me that my old furnace was not even worth fixing. I knew that my old furnace was a very old furnace, but didn’t know just how old it was until he told me. It was over seventy years old, no wonder it stopped working. That gas furnace lived a good life, but it died at an inconvenient time. I had just bought a new car because I had totaled my last one, so I didn’t have any savings left to buy a new gas furnace. It was quite sad, to say the least. I could have had more money saved up in a week or two, but my gas furnace decided to die just more than two days after I bought my new car. That is just my luck. The gas furnace that I did end up getting was a fourth of the price of a new gas furnace, so I actually hope that it ends up absolutely working for the long haul. I have no idea what to expect from a used gas furnace.
