We had a lovely summer last year, but there was a time that wasn’t quite as pleasant. It was a bright and lovely day like any other. The kid was out in the backyard playing in the small pool while we got lunch ready. On the radio, we heard the announcement to be ready for a storm. It seemed to have come from nowhere and was headed in our direction. My husband began to clear the chairs and cushions from the front porch. The sun was gone, and the winds were starting to pick up in less than an hour. We drained the small pool, made sure the chicken was secure, and then waited for the storm. It was funny listening to the winds that seemed like they were speaking to us. Then about three hours later, the rain came down heavily. It was the biggest storm we’d seen in a long time. Lucky for us, we lived in a hilly area, so there wouldn’t be so much flooding in our area. The storm lasted that whole evening and night. The rains stopped early the next morning, and we went outside to check the area. We were lucky because there wasn’t much damage and the lights were still on. However, I tried to switch on the AC unit, but it wouldn’t start. The best solution was to contact an HVAC worker to come and assist me. The AC worker informed me he had other bookings, but I could try to reset the unit. There was a rest unit that I pushed once I’d turned on the HVAC unit, and it came back to life.
