I told my husband not to stand too close to the fireplace.

My husband thinks he is superman.

No matter what is going on, he needs to be the strong person to hold the family together.

He wasn’t feeling too well last week. I kept telling him not to stand too close to the fireplace, but he wasn’t listening. I noticed he was a bit wobbly, so when he picked up our son, I took him away. I didn’t want my husband to fall when he had our son in his arms. He told me he was fine, but he was getting very sleepy. I noticed I wasn’t feeling very well, and our son was already down for a nap, even though it was only 10 AM. My husband sat down in his recliner, but I was worried. I called the doctor, and he was also concerned. He told me to open all the windows. I complained that it was too cold out to open the windows. He told me to open the windows, call the HVAC company and call the fire company. He was going to call an ambulance for our son and my husband. I was going to ask why when I passed out. The following morning, we all woke up in the hospital. The doctor had noticed the signs of carbon monoxide poisoning. He called the local HVAC company and the fire company when I was no longer talking to him. We had been waiting for the HVAC technician to come to the house and repair the furnace. I’m glad I called the doctor, because by the time the HVAC technician arrived, we would have all died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
