I’m just not sure that they ever clean the air vents in the building where I work. In all the time that I have worked here at this company, I don’t remember ever seeing a commercial HVAC company come in to work on the ductwork. I mean, I have seen a commercial HVAC company here before, that’s true. But once it was because they were working on fixing the heating system during one really cold winter that we had. The furnace wasn’t working correctly and they were going to shut down because the temperature in the building was so cold that half of us were complaining that we could see our breath right there in front of us in our work cubicles. The other half of my co-workers said that they were so cold that they were freezing to their chairs at their desks. That winter, I noticed that the commercial HVAC company had come in to fix the furnace and they worked on the heating system for the whole afternoon. I think that was the first time that I ever saw anyone from the commercial HVAC company working in the office building. The other time was when we were having a major heatwave and the HVAC company showed up to work on the central air conditioning system in the building. As far as I knew, they had never come to work on the ventilation system at all. That’s still the case now and I’ve been working here for years now! I really think that it would be nice if they cleaned the ductwork too!
