My community has residential bee removal

The bees really wouldn’t be that big of an issue if it wasn’t for the fact that there are simply just too many of them.

The community I live in has residential bee removal. The HOA in our community has to have bee removal every now and then, and that is because we have a serious bumble bee and honey bee problem. I think this is because we have a ton of plants and flowers in our neighborhood. It helps to keep the area looking beautiful and like it’s spring year round. However, with lots of flowers and plants comes lots of wildlife. Some of this wildlife is welcomed, like we have seen an increase in butterflies, which is always a welcome addition. There was also an increase in lizards, which is good for keeping all of the unwanted insects in check. And last is the bees. The bees really wouldn’t be that big of an issue if it wasn’t for the fact that there are simply just too many of them. We also have yellow jackets, but there is only a small population of them, so they aren’t causing a problem yet. Anyways, the community has a honey bee removal place come out and remove all of the bees. At first I thought they were killing them, which made me quite sad, however, I actually found out that the place is a honey bee rescue, which takes them to honey farms where they can harvest honey from them. I was glad to know they aren’t killing the honey bees and bumblebees, we really need them for the environment, and they are already endangered as it is.
