When I was growing up, my dad never did any kind of repairs around the house, especially not repairs having to do with our HVAC unit.
However, my wife’s dad used to fix literally every single thing that tore up at their house when she was growing up. It’s really different for her to be married to a guy and live with one who has no idea how to do anything around the house. She’s had a really hard time deciding how to live with a guy who doesn’t know how to do any home repairs at all! I know that it must be really different for her, that’s for sure. She is really annoyed by the fact that I don’t know how to fix things. She’s not the only one who is annoyed by that fact, either. I wish that I knew how to fix things the way that her dad used to. It would be really nice for me to be able to fix troubles that we sometimes have with our appliances, our electrical supply, or our heating and cooling system. I know that I would be able to save a whole lot of money if I could just do all of my own home repairs. Not to mention the fact that my wife would probably find me a whole lot more attractive if she came home and I was fixing the furnace or the central air conditioning system. She would definitely love it if I could do more things around the house the way that her dad always did when she was growing up. My dad never really knew how to do anything, though.
