I had heard of a lovely young man who created the most design River dining tables, and he was in our area, and a acquaintance of our granddaughters, but i had consistently wanted a river dining table, and I spoke to our partner about calling the young man! The first thing both of us wanted to do was tell him what size dining table both of us wanted, and to get an estimate of what it would cost. The people I was with and I knew that to have a handcrafted dining table created would take some time, and that was another question that both of us had for the young man. The people I was with and I had lost a lot of our furniture in a house fire, and replaced most of it already, but one of the few things both of us had not got around to replacing was our wood living room table and chairs. They made the chairs of curly maple, had leather seats and backs, and were almost 200 years old. I knew both of us could never get the same antique furniture back, but I wanted something that was of equal beauty and quality. If this young man could make our River dining table plus what our granddaughter had told us, I was going to have new wooden chairs made to go with the living room table. In the first month, he showed us several pictures of designs the young man it created, and both of us saw some drawings he had made for us. At first, both of us thought the dining table was going to be quite moderate other than the design that made it a river table, however when I saw the actual finished product, I cried. The river table was the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, and a handcrafted work of art.
