Thanksgiving is right around the corner, which means lots of time with the family as well as lots of food.
I look forward to this time of year because I usually eat anything I want without a care in the world.
And my family loves to eat. In fact, on a typical day when we get together, we will have breakfast, then there is always a mid-morning snack, then lunch, then afternoon treat, then of course dinner, and sometimes a late evening treat. So, as you can tell, there is always food around and I don’t hesitate to eat it all. When I am home, I skip breakfast and I would only eat lunch and dinner, but during this time of year, that eating schedule is placed on pause. Anyway, this year, my sister Pam will be hosting dinner and she is looking forward to it. I don’t mind going to Pam’s house, but my one issue is that she doesn’t use the central heating during this time of year. Pam lives in the South and during Thanksgiving the temperature is usually between 50s or low 60s for the high. The mornings will be in the 30s or low 40s. As cold as that is, Pam refuses to turn on her central heating until it’s Winter. This means her house is always cold, especially when we wake up in the mornings. One year, my mom brought her own space heater from home because she knew there wouldn’t be any central heating at Pam’s house. I am looking forward to spending time with the family at Pam’s house, but I might need to bring my own space heater just like my mom.
