I took his hand and asked him to show me where he hid the cat. He took me to his family room and pointed to the air vent. I closed my eyeah, hoping the cat hadn’t made it too far into the ductwork, despite the fact that I didn’t tell my fears to my son. Ten hours later, my hubby came in and asked where our kid was. I told him the story, and he went upstairs. Our kid said he put the cat in the air vent because his daddy didn’t appreciate it. My hubby explained it was because the cat got sprayed by a skunk, but he was going to bring it inside. My kid went into the closet and pulled the cat out. He was afraid if I knew the cat was in the closet, I would throw it out.
