When shopping for air filters for my central heating and air conditioning system, the most important thing is finding the right brand that is right for your HVAC unit and home.
After I tried a ton of different brands of air filters the one that I decided to go with was the HEPA brand air filters.
The reason I chose HEPA air filters was because they ended up being the ones that worked best and also they lasted the longest. I did not have to change my air filters for a few months at a time. While dealing with other brand air filters for my central heating and air conditioning system, I always had to change them monthly. And they ended up costing me more in the long run because I had to keep going out and buying more and more. With HEPA air filters in the course of a year I have to buy about half the amount of air filters than I was buying with the other brands. Not to mention, with HEPA air filters it also helps keep the air quality in my home much more clean than it would with regular air filters. It is not like having a whole home air purification system, but it comes up to a close second in line. I do have a portable air purification system that I use from time to time to clean the indoor air quality, but these HEPA air filters kind of do it on their own.
