If you want to pay a repair fee for myself and others to adjust your thermostat for you that is up to you
I don’t understand why people think that the cabin will cool down faster if they turn the thermostat down to 50 degrees. It doesn’t labor that way! I will say it again. It does not labor that way, but you just need to set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature setting and the air conditioning component will do the rest of the work. I can’t tell you how multiple calls I have gone out on that turned out to just be an issue of thermostat settings. Some models of thermostats won’t labor if the temperature is set multiple degrees odd from the temperature in the house. In other words. The thermostats can tell that 50 degrees is way too low and the air conditioning component won’t turn on at all. The lady the people I was with and I have answering the cellphones is good about talking clients through this. I hear her do it all of the time. But some clients don’t think her and insist someone come out and fix their HVAC system. Other clients lie and say that the thermostat is set to 76 degrees but when I show up I see it is set to 50. Whatever. I don’t mind getting paid to turn your thermostat up 20 degrees and then waiting a hour for the air conditioning component to kick on. If you want to pay a repair fee for myself and others to adjust your thermostat for you that is up to you. All I am saying is that if you really do want your cabin to be 50 degrees then change your thermostat 5 degrees at a time until it gets there.
