Starting with a group fitness class

When I first started going to the fitness center, I was uncomfortable & intimidated. I didn’t feel confident using the machines. I worried about making a fool of myself & possibly getting hurt. But, I’d paid for a membership & was set on using it. I easily wanted to get in better physical condition. I just wasn’t sure how to go about it. I was spending all my time at the gym riding the stationary bike. I finally noticed a ton of people heading into one of the studios & realized that they were attending a group fitness class. I immediately checked to see which classes I could fit into my schedule. I decided to start with a beginners level yoga class. It was a relaxing way to learn how to respectfully stretch my muscles & improve my flexibility, range of motion & balance. The instructor was attractive & unquestionably great. I met some easily relaxing people. By the time I finished many weeks of classes, I felt much more confident. Since then, I’ve signed up for pilates, spin, boot camp, pole dancing & zumba. These classes have helped myself and others to lose weight, tone my muscles & suppose at ease in the gym. I still take group classes whenever they’re available. I’ve managed to advance to a more advanced level of yoga. I particularly enjoy taking a class early in the afternoon before work. Although it means starting the alarm much earlier, it’s a relaxing way to start the day. I shower in the locker room, get ready, head to work & am much more productive. I’m usually in a happy mood.
