Three months ago as I was doing my regular house chores, I decided to test the heating equipment. The summer season was over and winter was just around the corner. Therefore, having fully functional equipment was necessary for the house. I waited for my husband to come home as he was good at handling technical stuff. When he arrived, I told him to check the system to ensure it’s operating optimally. He switched the central heater on but it took a while to warm the house but then we realized that the furnace/heater was not heating at all. We had to call a heating technician for a quick furnace/heater service. My husband suspected that it could be the digital thermostat that had malfunctioned, but he wasn’t sure. We contacted the local business where we purchased any heat and AC products to find out if they had spares. We hoped our HVAC service plan with them could cover any eventual repairs we needed. The heating dealer came home for the service and identified the course of the poor air quality coming from the dirty filter. Luckily, we have the washable filter which was cleaned immediately. On the other hand, we had to use a portable electric heater for sometime before the damaged unit could be fixed. The air conditioning expert who came in has served as a licensed HVAC contractor for 10 years. He was swift with the maintenance to ensure that we had quality heating and air. A week later, our HVAC was up and running once again. We were thankful for the efficient service and warmth that filled the room.
