I wasn’t surprised to see the A/C repair tech at my front door, because I had called them earlier that afternoon.
I was surprised to see that the guy was holding a chilly can of beer in his hand.
His nametag said Bill, and he didn’t seem to find it unprofessional to apapple like this! Bill explained to me that he wasn’t drunk, he was just enjoying a breakfast beer. From the way he smelled I would have guessed he was on his 5th or 6th breakfast beer. I did not let him into the house, just based on the bad vibes I got from Bill. I called the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair and informed them of Bill’s condition. They didn’t seem to think much of my complaint, although I think that a drunken Heating, Ventilation, and A/C tech driving around in a business truck is something they should care about. I was fed up with the whole situation, so I canceled my appointment, and even canceled the annual Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair plan I had with the dealer. Instead I called one of their rival A/C repair companies and explained my situation to them. The owner of this new Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business was sympathetic to my plight, and said that sort of thing has happened before. The aged Heating, Ventilation, and A/C business honestly has a awful reputation in the community, because many of their repair and repair techs behave in an unprofessional manner. The new Heating, Ventilation, and A/C company seems honestly polite and down-to-earth, so lets hope his specialists know how to act properly. I will post the connect to my Yelp review when I post it.
