Life is increasing at a rapid pace.
Some of this change is fantastic while the other is a little frightening. For instance, has anyone observed that the summers are getting hotter? This reality hit me so difficult while in the summer time when both of us were locked at new home due to the pandemic. The apartment was always so overheated & humid that both of us couldn’t turn off the AC. To make matters worse, both of us were 5 of us & always found it challenging to go out when things were so bad. Well, that reality hasn’t changed as this last summer time was even hotter. In fact, both of us had to leave the AC running all day every day for 3 weeks. You should have seen the cooling bill both of us got for the entire summer. But, I must admit both of us feel a little blessed because of where both of us live. Other folks lost everything they own when wildfires hit & razed down their homes. There was even a little kid I saw on the news crying because he was upset his dog had died in the fire that burned down their homes. The experts came on & advocated everyone to ensure they stay in cool places where the AC was always running. The drastic heat waves were not only causing wildfires, but people were also dying because of heat stroke. How could this be? Well, climate change. If that was summer, I can only imagine how it’s going to be when Winter time comes. Last Winter time both of us also had to leave the heating unit on all season to ensure the apartment was moderate & comfortable.
