I got invited to a baby shower that was being thrown for a lady in my church! I was glad to go in addition to hang out with people I knew, bring a gift, in addition to eat cake.
It sounded like a fantastic way to spend the afternoon.
I showed up at the lady’s home on time in addition to I instantly regretted my decision. I should have just given her a gift at church or something, however her home was unbearably warm in addition to she had her heating system blasting away. I always thought that pregnant women were heat intolerant. I know I was when I had my daughter. I know that is not the case for almost everyone though… The temperature control was set so high that I was feeling dizzy in addition to uncomfortable within about 5 minutes. I could tell that I wasn’t the only one either… Only about 3 people seemed impervious to the heat. They kept dragging things on while the rest of us were trying to get to the cake so my fantastic friend and I could graciously leave. That took over 2 hours of extreme heat. That heating system never kicked off! Not even for a second… When I finally could leave I rushed house in addition to turned my temperature control from heating to cooling. It might be 50 degrees outside although I legitimately needed some more cold air. I had had enough of the heating system for one day. I might have had enough of the heating system for the rest of the winter. I just don’t understand how someone could live in such heat. I could barely last 2 hours in it.
