Was it a ghost, or inadequate heating?

My partner awoke and asked if I wanted him to turn the thermostat back up

My guy and I had always talked about going to the UK one day, so for our honeymoon, my associate and I decided to go to the UK and stay in one of those old castles. I thought it would be fun, but I had to admit that I was scared out of my shoes. When my colleague and I arrived, they gave us a tour of the castle. My associate and I were warned not to walk through the hallways because we might get lost and run into one of the resident ghosts. I told my partner I wasn’t scared, even though the mention of ghosts sent shivers up my spine. I had to get up in the middle of the night and walk out to use the restroom. A cold chill was creeping up my spine. I knew it was bad heating in the castle, but I hoped it was a ghost. When I returned to my room, I told my partner how cold the hallway was. She informed me that the room was on fire. She had added another log to the fireplace, and he had increased the temperature slightly. I couldn’t sleep that night as I lay in bed. I could feel a chill in the air and was certain I could hear noises behind the walls. My partner awoke and asked if I wanted him to turn the thermostat back up. He had it set to sixty degrees, but he wondered if the fireplace wasn’t warm enough. I assured him that I was fine, and he turned to face me. She began to laugh and reminded me that I had said there were no ghosts.
